That’s an incredibly insightful comment, I’ve never heard of that before, I’ll have to do some reading.
I’m always reluctant to make predictions, but examining the global system as it exists today the most vulnerable nodes are the people living at the extremes:
Extreme temperatures, extreme isolation( reliance on imports), extreme politics. The “de-complexifixation” for these types of societies will likely be total and unrecoverable.
For those in their proximity, less exposed to direct risk, I suspect the “Mohenjo Daro outcome” might be the most accurate, as they attempt to retain their existing economic and social structures with fewer and fewer resources.
